Technology From The Past-Mesopotamia-The Wheel

The wheel was used in Mesopotamia by about 3250 BCE. It may have been first used to make pottery. Later, wheels were attached to ploughs, carts, and war chariots to allow easier movement. The wheel was a really important invention, as it served as a tool that encouraged faster movement. Nearly every machine built since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution
involves a wheel(s). From tiny watch gears to cars and airplane engines, the principle is the same. These days, we humans constantly use wheels, but not many people know about the history of it. Now you do, though. The main enduring contribution of the wheel is/was faster movement.
